JUSTICE Secretary Raul Gonzalez has said Representative Liza Maza will be arrested after leaving the protective custody of the House of Representatives.
At the same time, he accused congressional guards of conspiring with the militant lawmaker by allowing her to leave the House premises at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
"She was in connivance with congressional guards. We will investigate it tomorrow," Gonzalez said.
The justice chief maintained that Maza, who is facing rebellion charges together with four other party-list representatives, would be arrested after having opted to leave the protective custody of the House.
They signed last week a waiver of detention and agreed to stay within the premises of the House of Representatives while under its custody, he said.
The lawmakers will undergo preliminary investigation before the Department of Justice on March 9 and 13.
