Estrada to Arroyo: Rescind Proclamation 1017

FORMER president Joseph Estrada on Sunday released a statement calling on President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to rescind her national state of emergency declaration.
The one-page statement read by Senator Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada also appealed to the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines to protect the people.
Estrada also reiterated his call for Arroyo to step down.
The former president will hold a thanksgiving mass on Sunday at the San Juan Medical Center for the success of his eye surgery on Saturday night.
