URGENT ACTION: Political Repression on the Internet

Who says that the tentacles of political repression does not reach out to the Internet? The following news articles tell us that the world capitalist system does everything it can to stifle dissent. This shall serve as lesson to those who think that the Internet is a medium for practicing our freedom of expression. Just like in any other medium, you can say whatever you want in the Internet except criticize and expose the ills and biases of imperialism.

To all concerned net individuals out there, let us voice out our indignation against this and similar acts. Please sign and circulate the solidarity message.

FBI shuts down 20 antiwar web sites: an unprecedented act of Internet censorship

In this modern information age, the net has become a fast medium of intellectual exchange and a venue where one can post his opinion in order to share and be criticized by others (no matter how garbage it is to the views of others). We almost feel there is complete freedom in here! Nope! For in the first place using the net is not for free! Someone like me in the third-world has to pay out of his little savings. Whenever I’m using the net I always remember that I pay for it to the pockets of international monopoly bourgeoisie, a somekind of “goods” that I buy, to which I have every right how to use it because I pay for it! So, I can use my paid time using the facilities of the internet in what manner I like even if I have to use it to hurl rotten “tomatoes” to the very (few)people in the world whose gigantic monopoly incomes more than half of the third-world nations’ national income combined, and whose monopoly control over the world economy has caused the starvations to millions of the world’s peoples!

P. S. I was not able to participate in the peasant mobilization for the culmination of the peasant month. . . I got a hang-over this morning :( . . . forgive me
