League of Filipino Students - Iligan thanks those who already committed themselves for solidarity, medical and fact finding mission for the 152 displaced families caused by the Military operations against NPA Rebels in St. Peter's, Malaybalay, Bukidnon this coming July 8-9, 2006.
Unfortunately, due to the financial constraints LFS is having, there are only 40 slots alotted for volunteers who will be free from transportation and food expenses.
In this connection, for those interested individuals who still want to be volunteers, you are still very welcome to offer your services BUT, sad to say, you have to pay for your transportation, food and other expenses all throughout the relief activity.
In addition, donations of all kinds (Cash, canned-goods, shirts, pants, slippers, food, medicines, etc.) are badly needed. With this, FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T COME AS VOLUNTEERS, you may extend your help through giving donations. Please contact July through 09229646397 for details on how to SEND your donations.
All donations should be given not later on July 5, 2006, 6pm. Deadline is needed because the organizers have to pack and segregate any donations received.
Please spread the word and any help extended will be highly appreciated and recognized.
