‘Star witness’, incredible testimony, is Gloria’s gambit vs. Batasan 5

“Absurdity seems to be the by-word of the Gloria’s Department of (In-)Justice in its fabricated cases against us and progressive leaders and organizations.”

Thus stated Bayan Muna representative Joel Virador on the presentation of ‘star witness’ Mr. Jaime Fuentes in the rebellion case filed against the Batasan 5.

“This just shows that DO(I)J and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will stop at nothing to produce ‘star’ witnesses with concocted titles and designations to back up their allegations against us,” Rep. Virador said.

The militant solon reiterated that “all these charges are based on fabricated evidence and we are confident that we will win the case and file appropriate charges against those who malign our good party and work to destroy our mandate.”

“Ultimately, Gloria only wants to disqualify progressive party-lists from the electoral arena via fabricated cases and ‘witnesses’ whose credibility is highly questionable,” Virador added.

On special cells being readied for Batasan 5

Virador also criticized the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Vidal Querol for being a “poster boy for the police character of violating due process.”

“Director Querol’s bragging that they have prepared special cells at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City for us five legislators. It just shows that the police, under the auspices of an illegitimate president, are all out in preparing the public for a Malacañang-engineered illegal arrest and detention,” Virador said.

“Its just so obvious that the PNP is playing the Malacañang tune of Gloria who has already pre-judged that we are already guilty of the charges fabricated by the DO(I)J,” the Bayan Muna solon concluded. #
